Differential and Functional Identities for the Elliptic Trilogarithm

چکیده
When written in terms of θ-functions, the classical Frobenius–Stickelberger pseudo-addition formula takes a very simple form. Generalizations of this functional identity are studied, where the functions involved are derivatives (including derivatives with respect to the modular parameter) of the elliptic trilogarithm function introduced by Beilinson and Levin. A differential identity satisfied by this function is also derived. These generalized Frobenius–Stickelberger identities play a fundamental role in the development of elliptic solutions of the Witten–Dijkgraaf–Verlinde–Verlinde equations of associativity, with the simplest case reducing to the above mentioned differential identity.

Weyl Groups and Elliptic Solutions of the Wdvv Equations
A functional ansatz is developed which gives certain elliptic solutions of the Witten-Dijkgraaf-Verlinde-Verlinde (or WDVV) equation. This is based on the elliptic trilogarithm function introduced by Beilinson and Levin. For this to be a solution results in a number of purely algebraic conditions on the set of vectors that appear in the ansatz, this providing an elliptic version of the idea, in...
متن کاملExistence of at least three weak solutions for a quasilinear elliptic system
In this paper, applying two theorems of Ricceri and Bonanno, we will establish the existence of three weak solutions for a quasilinear elliptic system. Indeed, we will assign a differentiable nonlinear operator to a differential equation system such that the critical points of this operator are weak solutions of the system. In this paper, applying two theorems of R...
متن کاملNew variants of the global Krylov type methods for linear systems with multiple right-hand sides arising in elliptic PDEs
In this paper, we present new variants of global bi-conjugate gradient (Gl-BiCG) and global bi-conjugate residual (Gl-BiCR) methods for solving nonsymmetric linear systems with multiple right-hand sides. These methods are based on global oblique projections of the initial residual onto a matrix Krylov subspace. It is shown that these new algorithms converge faster and more smoothly than the Gl-...

For an arbitrary eld F, we study the relationship between the Bloch groups Bm(F) of 3], 20] and higher Chow groups CH m (F; 2m ? 1) Q. For m = 2 we construct a homomorphism B 2 (F) Q ! CH 2 (F; 3) Q by proving Abel's ve term relation for the dilogarithm in CH 2 (F; 3) Q among the cycles Ca of Totaro 19]. We also shed some light on the relation between B 3 (F) Q and CH 3 (F; 5) Q by proving furt...
متن کاملON QUASILINEAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEMS INVOLVING MULTIPLE CRITICAL EXPONENTS
In this paper, we consider the existence of a non-trivial weaksolution to a quasilinear elliptic system involving critical Hardyexponents. The main issue of the paper is to understand thebehavior of these Palais-Smale sequences. Indeed, the principaldifficulty here is that there is an asymptotic competition betweenthe energy functional carried by the critical nonlinearities. Thenby the variatio...
